1. Delete the door.
2. Replace the door with door4x8 (-2560)
3. Test the new door
4. If all is well, replace the door shape model name with your special door model.
5. Test your new door with the special shape.
I have a door 4x8 metal door barred. It opens in an arcing pattern as if it is completing a 1/4 of of a circle. Joints by default are set at 90.00 I have spent an hour doing searches and cant find the solution to this. Never had this strange rotation problem on a door. Setting the joints to 0.00 doesn't change it. Is this some kind of door corruption ?
Thanks for any help here.

After changing the door model make sure the centre of mass is correct in Physics->Attributes. Don't forget to portalize if you change this setting.
Thankyou Larry, and Thankyou Ali ! This physics stuff gets me sometimes.![]()
CoG Offset under Attributes can also cause issues with rotating doors, especially if you have resized them from the standard archetype size.
Then you need to change the CoG Offset from 2 to 2.5.
Wait! You said the door was 4x8!! You can't go changing your story now and make the door 5x8. The right answer depends on the facts you provide. No changing the facts midstream. That's not allowed. It makes thehorsesfacts nervous. You only get 1 good answer per thread (well, maybe 2 if you're lucky) but in either case you used yours up. Now give Yandros back his answer and apologize.

Joints???
They are responsible for handle rotation only.
