Windows Vista; can't install Thief Gold

Long story short, I lost my Thief Gold CD's and downloaded the game via torrent. I'm trying to do a few install tricks but it isn't working. I'm mounting the game to my E drive, by the way.

Tried e:\setup.exe -lgntforce, that just puts another setup.exe in my processes and goes nowhere very slowly.

Tried another site I found which said to manually tell the computer to run the game in Windows 95 compatibility but that didn't work either.

What information do I need to provide to help fix this?

I'm sorry that you lost your game disks - but we don't support or condone downloading the game other than from an official retailer (it's available here from GOG). If you still have problems then feel free to come back here (we also have a legacy game technical help forum).
