The Big Booty Bitches duo is old as hell (2008 or 2009) and spawned countless remixes (some of which are fun to mix at a party). Dethtoll's video is a repost.

That Soft Pink Truth track you're linking to dates back from 2003 though, so maybe the two dudes from ALostPeople got some inspiration from it. Wouldn't be too surprising.

I usually find this kind of thing lame, but this one struck a cord with me.

Minor set-piece spoilers for Max Payne 3.

This probably won't be everyone's cup of tea. I posted it on the FB group, but no bites. It really does need to be seen. Probably one of the best pieces of artistic anything I have ever seen. Bear in mind I'm a big Heironymus Bosch fan: http://vimeo.com/16056709

You caught me with the Bosch word. WOW. And also seriously disturbing.

Ah yeah that's great. Now this is what computer animation is good for. Good surrealism is hard to find these days, which is unfortunate since it's never been easier for people to make it than now.

If you like Bosch, Jacques Resch & Michael Hutter art is very inspired by him.
Hmm... Looking up these artists, I found this page with good contemp surreal artists:

Cool. Cheers for the tip - will check those links when I get home.

EDIT: Also, the guy who made that vid has another one called Head Cleaner, which is also very good, but not as developed or long.

I'd need to see more of his work before I went that far, but I agree with that in principle. I'd be really curious to know how long it took him to make it. Since his only other video was from 1999, my guess would be quite a while. Which may limit how much more work he can output. My hope would be that he can garner enough interest from this video to get some kind of funding and enlarge his team a bit and maybe delegate some of the work while retaining control over the content. I'd love to see this kind of artwork paired with something like Aphex Twin or Squarepusher.

So 90s it hurts. I was going to say needs more Einsturzende Neubauten, and lo there they are in his other video.

I invite you to sample the British game show, "Qi" (for Quite interesting). There are no prizes, the rules are flexible, the scoring is incomprehensible, the contestants are professional and the result is delightful.

And it can get rude as hell, like a bawdy tea party where someone spiked the Earl Grey.

Did I mention that Stephen Fry is the host?

Here's a sample of the full length version of the show, featuring the topic games.

Heh, I would say this can't be real except my Chinese Buddhist nun friend used to tell me stories about the other nuns from rural villages (lol nun gossip), and she said they'd say things like, in all seriousness, "Why would a woman want to get the nails on her feet filed & painted? Does that help the aerodynamics?" One story after another like that... Just unreal level of being sheltered in some of those villages apparently.

Meanwhile, someone, somewhere in China, is seeing that news clip and thinking to himself, "so that's where I left it..."
