Thread: 1000 clues that you have been Dromeding too much

I was thinking about another 1000th clue:

You are afraid of writing this number as you expect to see an error "ran out of concrete clue IDs. Re-run with larger clue_max'. - and after pressing any button, the whole forum crashes.

And thus is made a brilliant ending to the thread.

To be sure, some of the earliest posts had better-quality 'clues', but in all fairness you can only say a witty saying once!

Any chance of compiling this thread into a single document? Hell, I'd pay for it in deadtree format if it were done well enough, especially if some appropriate illustrations were included. And surely we could find some decent cartoonists on TTLG...

1002 - You constantly notice how unaligned the textures are in real life.

1003 - When you go to a shop to buy something you wonder if you could buy the archtype and make as many concrete objects as you want out of it.

You know you have been dromeding too much when you attempt to mind meld with a weird terrain brush, as the framerate gradually increase. Then when you realize that you are missing "Spocks" hand to be able to mind meld, You start designing another Avatar for Garrett so he can touch the Brush properly. No more JB tonight for me!

    Oh, I'd forgotten about that.

We should have a 1000 so here it is:

1000: An MRI scan of your brain shows it lighting up all over whenever you hear words like 'texture', 'brush' and 'optimise'.

    Putting things back in order:

1005: You're too ill to go to work but you somehow find the strength and resolve to start Dromed and get building.

1006: You print out Dromed tutorials so you'll always have something to do if your computer breaks or there's a power cut.

1007. You dig all over the Internet trying to find mobile version of DromEd... or some kind of port... or Anim8or... or just SOMETHING editor-related!
1008. And you believe you will find it (you just can't remember its hierarchy ID).

1009. They can't find any title in Hollywood for their new movie better than one you already gave to one of your FM's

1010. You continue to press shift+> to try to zoom out on everything you see on the screen.

actually this one happened today to me

1011. You tend to use programs which understand that Shift + combination.

1013. You are convinced there is no such thing as "Dromeding too much".

1014. Someone makes a mistake and you say "Don't worry, you're only -14"

1015. You come up with a simplified version of Darwin's Tree of Life, starting with Creature splitting into Animal and Beast.

Does Darwin's tree look different?! It's heresy! Everybody knows - animals and beasts are in different branches!

1016: You can identify the Pipe objects just by looking at them.

I was looking at the BigLiquidTank, and I thought 'Is that a pipe06 on the end?'

I looked in the object list, and it is.

This thread is a nice reading matter. And one or the other feels somehow... familiar.

1017. You ignore the limit of 1000 clues without having a bad feeling about this, because you are positive that NewDark has fixed it.
1018. You are not in the least afraid anymore when playing a mission. You know: If something went wrong you can press Alt+E. And: You cannot die because you added no_endgame to the user.cfg... wait, I have died?! Maybe I forgot the no_endgame...
1019. You just want to fix this one problem in DromEd, but you cannot keep your eyes open. You have no other choice, you have to get some sleep. You cannot really sleep, because you think about DromEd and this one problem. You wake up, and your first doing is to start DromEd to fix this one problem - although you are terribly tired. But now that DromEd already is running...

1020. You can come up with a new idea only when realizing the previous one in DromEd, no matter the idea nature is.
1021. You want (and try) to found a new academic descipline: level design using Dromed (so it can be learned in a similar way like programming in C).

1022: You think that you can live as a crate or barrel with a link PlayerFactory.
1023: Since the NewDark, you don't look at the floor when you're in front of a big Cathedral.
1024: Since the NewDark, you don't fear that your bedroom's door will go far away through you're home's wall.

1025: You use Dromed as a visual tool to help landscape your back yard. When it comes to buying the
material, you're pissed off that your local builders store doesn't do Filston0 or Rufgry!
