"FINAL" Final Komag DVDs till May 31, 2012, get 1100 FMs

Due to MANY requests over past couple years, and also due to webhosting bills for my Thief sites, I've completely revamped and updated the Final Komag DVDs for one last release. I really mean it, this won't happen again after May 31, 2012.

If you don't already know, the Komag DVDs contain my "Complete Thief Fan Mission Archive" of all the FMs ever made, over 1100 of them! They also contain other Thief support files, such as loaders, editors, videos, patches, upgrades, etc

As usual, you can get everything completely free by sending me blank DVDs (see my site for the instructions), or you can make a donation to help with the web-hosting fees and I'll send you out a set as a bonus/thank-you.

PS - I removed most of the "junk" from the last batch (such as the silly movies/pictures, the big play-through videos, the various game demos that weren't Thief, etc), and have added a TON of FMs from the past three years. So the DVDs are MOSTLY FMs, with some other essential Thief related stuff as well, no fluff.

PPS - This is open to anyone anywhere in the world (except Nigeria)

I wonder if the disc images can be shared via torrent, like TOSEC for example.

I'll try to get up a torrent soon, so people can have access that way (and you'll be able to pick and choose which stuff to include in your download that way)

It sounds great, Ben! Taking out all the extra stuff and sticking to FMs and other essentials should make sure it doesn't break any forum guidelines like the last one did. When you have the torrent up, post the link and I'm sure some of us will download it to seed it for others.

Shows me for not checking up on here for last couple of months,I had known and had the money at the time I would've bought a blank DVD or donated because I sure as hell have no patience when it comes to using torrents.I also had no idea that one of my favorite Thief sites was run right here in New England.

That link doesn't link to a torrent file, it goes to a page full of information so I don't think it's quite right yet.

It does go to the torrent file, but when you open it in a browser it may literally open the file up as a webpage (it does on Firefox). To avoid that, you right click and pick 'save as' and save it on your harddrive, or just download the zipped version. Then when you doubleclick on the downloaded file, the torrent will start running (if you have a program to run it like uTorrent already installed).

Edit: BTW, I got a "Flushing to Disk" delay when I first ran it. If you get that, a solution I read from a Google search is to Stop it and Start it again (or Force Start), and in my case that started the torrent running right away.

I'm going to be the only seed for quite a while I assume, so now's as good a time as any I suppose!

If anyone who got the DVDs copies ALL the files to their computer, in the same directories I put them in, and then runs the torrent and points the "download" to that main directory, they can become a seeder right away as well.

'kay. It'll probably take a while until I've downloaded the file, but once I have I'll make sure to leave the computer on and Vuze running in the evening so I can help with the seeding.
